What Our Workmanship Warranty Covers
We stand behind our workmanship. Our warranty covers issues caused by application or workmanship, such as peeling or blistering that results from improper surface preparation or coating application (when the surface conditions are suitable and the project was completed as specified in the written estimate).
What’s Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by acts of God, water intrusion, structural movement, settling/cracks, mold, fire, flooding, vandalism, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by other contractors, homeowners, pets, or third parties. Pre-existing substrate issues and failures of previous coatings are also excluded unless specifically addressed in writing.
Warranty Length & Conditions
Warranty length depends on the project scope and warranty chosen, we offer up to 20 year warranties. Coverage applies only when the surfaces are properly maintained and the property conditions remain normal (for example: no ongoing moisture issues). Any warranty must be documented in your final written invoice/estimate.
How to Request Warranty Service
To request warranty service, contact us with: (1) your name, (2) project address, (3) completion date, (4) photos of the issue, and (5) a short description. We’ll respond to schedule an inspection and, if the issue is covered, we’ll recommend the next steps.
Information
We offer 7 year, 10 year, and 20 year warranties for exterior painting that may be transferable. and 10 years warranty on interior work. warranty begins from date of completion. HR Painting DFW warrant against peeling and blistering due to defective workmanship.
What our warranty covers:
- Peeling or Blistering Paint
- Work provided within the original estimate
What our warranty does not cover:
- Any Horizontal Surface
- Cracks in Plaster or Drywall
- Paint supplied by the customer
- Galvanized Metal
- Bleeding Knots
- Fence Stains
- Moisture Damage & Rust
- Exterior Varnished Surfaces
- Peeling of Previous Paint Layers
- Nail or Screw Pops
- General Wear & Tear due to regular use
In Addition, our Warranty does NOT include:
- Cracks or tape tears due to a shifting building
- Matching of the paints — the paint can be matched closely, but rarely perfectly
- Mildew — caused by moisture accumulation
- Rotten wood, rust or disintegrating metals
